The Appearance of Innocence -

OK. There are pictures below, because Lucas is pretty nice to look at, but there has always been something about him and his acting that had such an honesty about it. O course the best actors are the ones that do not use gimmicks but bring honest recall of sense memories.

I chose the title of this post before I watched the video below. The video confirmed what i suspected, that Lucas Black is a human that is directed by a higher source.

Get Low is an amazing movie. If you only watch it once you are missing a revelation. I have a method in pretty much everything I do, including watching movies. I watch it the first time to receive what ever the Director wanted to do. If that is all I am able to do, it was a good movie. I need to be surprised by something. If I start to watch how the director is doing things, it is usually one of my favorites. In the second viewing I try to see how the director made things work. All subsequent viewings are because I like the story or the people in the movie.

Get Low is so layered that having watched it numerous times is still find out something new each time I see it.

Lucas's character is the soul of the movie. And I really mean the soul. We tend to think of an actor as one who can be different character, but that is not true. A good actor finds in themselves the traits of the character they play and then brings those things to the front so you see a real person through their real emotions and actions.

So Lucas Black, today I am in Love with you.

Ryan Gosling

I have been in love with Ryan for a long time, but I just realized I had neglected him here. So here last nights appearance on Leno,

OK, I said I had been in love with Ryan for a very long time. IT goes all the way back to Breaker High, when he was just on the verge of being an adult. I was living with my niece's family and my grandniece and I shared an attraction to Ryan. He has really come a long way and is one of the best dressed young actors around. Of course, dressed would not be my preference.

As far as I am concerned his best movie was "Lars and the Real Girl" but "Fracture" was very nice as well.

The movie is an off beat story, but one I strongly identify with.

Ryan has an uncanny ability to be very vulnerable, and this is the vehicle for that talent.

The movie has a lot of great performances. I recommend it.

In the second video of the Leno show Ryan uses his hands a lot and he has beautiful hands. Sigh. Today and most any day I think of him, I am in love with...

Babes on Broadway

Andrew Garfield is going to play Biff in "Death of a Salesman" on Broadway in March of 2012.

I fell in Love with Andrew as Eduardo Saverin in the Social Network. Plus Andrew is in another "web" movie, The Amazing Spider-Man premiering in July of 2012.

Next up, swimming in Hawaii

Today, I am in Love with Andrew Garfield.

Men Boys

It dawned on me today that all these guys are Men that look very much like boys.

Another one is in the News this week as cutie Darrin Criss will be taking the lead in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.

I can hardly wait until we gets some videos from the show. Criss is a natural dancer.

Today, I am in Love with Darrin Criss, Again!!

Darrin Criss

OK, I am still in love with all the guys listed here and would be glad to spend any kind of time with any of them.

Today, however I am reminded how much Darrin Criss makes me feel when I was young and all my equipment worked.

In this video he is the highest energy guy and most inventive.

I am shutting down most of my blogs and just keeping the important ones. For a 64 year old fagot, having young guys around me virtually is pretty important. Below (Link) is another video with The Talented Mr. Criss.

It seems to me that Darren is one of the most talented young men around to day, and I think I would say that even if he were not so cute.

Niel Patrick Harris - The Best Seat in the House

I love the theater, drama, the stage, I should have found a niche there. I almost did in 1974 when I took classes in the University of Texas Drama Department. So I watched the Tony's last night (June 12, 2011) and if I were not in love with Neil Patrick Harris before, and of course I have been ever since Doogie Houser, I would be now.

Here he is in four of his major numbers at the Tony's. Here is the opening number.

Then he teamed up with Hugh Jackman for a mid way number.

And then most amazing was the closing speech which had to have been written during the show. OK Maybe it was written before with and then just used the one for teh actual winners, but it was still Amazing.

In addition to all this he was in a number with the star studded cast of the Kennedy Center production of Company. Company is not one of my favorites, but it was well done. If Neil Patrick is this energetic all the time I can see why he is the gorgeous thin person he is.

Oh, the best seat thing, if you have not seen it, it is from the promo for the Tony's. Neil Patrick, I could offer a place or two you may rest that seat.

Sigh. Today I am in love with Neil Patrick Harris, he is married and I wish him all the best.

Babies, it is Cold, But You Just Warmed Me up a Few Degrees

When you are alone, it can be cold inside, too. These two guys are just too cute together. Don't know enough about Glee to know what characters they play other than one who professes he has to go.

Sigh. Today I am in love with Darren Criss and Chris Colfer, mostly Darren but they make such a cute couple.
